Dominion Traditional Building Group specializes in historic masonry restoration of structures predating 1900. We accomplish repairs and rebuilds of all types of historic masonry including stone, brick, and traditional three coat lime plaster and daubing with the use of historically accurate and compatible materials.

Our lead craftsmen have advanced certifications and expert knowledge in lime mortar applications and injections, Jahn mortar repairs, masonry cleaners, salt mitigation, brick repairs, latex paint removal and mineral paint application.

We also offer project management, historic preservation assessments, comprehensive scope of work reports, and architectural design and drawings.

The original windows found in residential, commercial, and institutional historic buildings can be simple, single pane double-hungs, or elaborate multi-paned showpiece fenestration that the architect originally designed to give the structure distinction and appeal.  Some historic structures feature a combination of many different window types.  They are all distinct and important historic elements worthy of being retained, restored and improved to keep your building appealing and authentic for generations to come.

All of our processes and products fully conform to the Secretary of Interior's Standards for Historic Rehabilitation.  We know what is required to work under the guidelines of the National Park Service and your State Historic Preservation Office to ensure that these valuable tax credits are captured for all of our work.
