Where do the listings come from?

Listings are aggregated from other public directories across the country and through our public submission form.


Can you confirm the qualifications or certifications of a listing?

No. Preservation Training Works, LLC does not endorse, qualify, or certify individuals, organizations, or businesses included in the directory. PreserveList is simply a directory and it is your responsibility to confirm the qualifications or certification of any listing prior to engaging in any work with them.

 

Does it cost money to use PreserveList or get listed?

No. PreserveList is a free national directory available for use and listing at no cost. 

 

Does Preservation Training Works, LLC perform any tradeswork?

No. Preservation Training Works, LLC only hosts this directory and is not a contractor.


How can I find a contractor in my state?

You can scroll down to use the Service Area filter on the left-hand checkboxes. The individual state filters will also include companies that provide nationwide service.


You’re missing some companies / I don’t see my company on here. How can I add a listing?

You can submit a listing. We will review it for accuracy and relevancy before posting it live. Please allow up to two weeks for these to appear on the website.


My company information needs to be updated. How do I update my listing?

You can update your listing here. Please allow up to two weeks for these changes to appear on the website.


I found a business that is closed / I want to remove my business’s listing. How can I get this down?

We don’t actively monitor the listings and will remove them upon request. Please use the “Update Listing” form to let us know. We will verify that the business is in fact closed, or if you are requesting the removal of an active business, verify that you have authorization to request removal.


What qualifies as a trades expert?

Trades Expert is a categorization vetted by our team to help training programs find and hire trades instructors. These trades experts are individuals who have completed instructor training or have demonstrated teaching experience.
