Change is coming

Welcome to PreserveList, Preservation Maryland’s online preservation services directory. This website is currently under construction, but listings are still accessible.

PreserveList was developed to connect preservation service providers with customers that are looking to care for their historic structures.  After the site’s full relaunch on January 1, 2023, PreserveList will be a free service to all, both those looking for preservation services and those interested in listing their relevant services.

About PreserveList

PreserveList connects preservation service providers with customers that are looking to properly care for their historic building. Whether it’s federal, Victorian or Mid-Century, PreserveList is the one stop shop for all things preservation.

One of the most frequent calls received by Preservation Maryland, and many other preservation groups, are property owners and stewards looking specific and skilled assistance. To address this need, we launched PreserveList in April 2017.

Inclusion on PreserveList does not constitute the endorsement of any company, service, or product by Preservation Maryland or Preservation Pennsylvania. Please be sure to read our full disclaimer. Please be sure to read our full disclaimer.

PreserveList is supported by a grant from the Rural Maryland Council and powered by Preservation Maryland. Preservation Maryland is Maryland’s first and largest non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the state’s historic buildings, neighborhoods, landscapes, and archaeological sites. Learn more about Preservation Maryland on their website.

Preservation Maryland is pleased to have expanded the reach of PreserveList in partnership with Preservation Pennsylvania. Preservation Pennsylvania is the commonweath’s only statewide, private non-profit, membership organization dedicated to the protection of historically and architecturally significant properties. You can search by location in the Mid-Atlantic and then by specialization – or you can also search the whole site.

As with any home improvement project, you should always check references and research a contractor thoroughly before selecting a firm to complete a project. Read our full disclaimer.
